Hometown: Crown Point, IN
What inspires me? my family
Who was my childhood hero? my mom
Education: MA in Education (Early Childhood Concentration), Ball State
Early Childhood Education and Exceptional Needs, B.S., Purdue University
Favorite vacation destination: I love to visit Disney World with my family!
Background and Expertise: When I first graduated from Purdue I began my career as a lead teacher at Head Start in Muncie. I only spent one year in Muncie while my husband finished his degree at Ball State. When we moved back to Lafayette I worked for DCS, briefly, as an investigator. When I left DCS I started at The Child Care Resource Network as the Inclusion Specialist. Over the years I have held multiple positions at The Child Care Resource Network. Other than the Inclusion Specialist, I have been a Paths to QUALITY Coach, CACFP Monitor, Paths to QUALITY Master Coach, Provider Support Specialist, and Professional Development Specialist. I have always known that I have wanted to work to change the lives of children and their families.
Ask me about... the importance of high quality early childhood programs, early brain development, effective kindergarten transitions, the requirements of various types of early childhood programs, locating a child care program, and parent workshops and events.
