Background and Expertise: Upon graduating from college, I began my ECE career as a Reading Improvement Aide in an elementary school in my hometown. Two years later I became the lead preschool teacher at a ministry in Illinois, and I fell in love with the early childhood field. I have worked in the CCR&R in Terre Haute, Indiana as a Referral Specialist and Education Specialist, and owned my own Family Child Care Home before moving to the Lafayette area. I taught as a temporary Kindergarten teacher, ABA Therapist, and Lead Toddler teacher before finding my home at The Child Care Resource Network. I absolutely love working one-on-one with child care educators and providing professional development to provide better outcomes for young children. I am very passionate about gaining new skills and learning new research to pass onto other educators. I'm also very passionate about incorporating music and fine arts into early childhood programs.
