Background and Expertise: I've always loved being around young children; even when I was a young child myself. I loved taking care of my younger sister and I especially loved reading to her. It was a natural decision to study early childhood education when I started attending Purdue University. I was able to spend a semester teaching in two different classrooms and also spent a semester working as a Child Life Specialist at Lutheran Children's Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. My first job out of college was at a small ministry child care and I was an assistant teacher. When I returned to Lafayette, I worked as a case manager for children with emotional disabilities. After 2 years as a case manager I became a team leader and lead a team of 15 case managers. After 5 years as a team leader I came to The Child Care Resource Network as the Professional Development Coordinator and transitioned to Program Engagement Specialist. Beginning in 2023, I stepped into my current role of Program Director.
